Learn The Perfect Way To Turn Sweet Potatoes Into A Healthy Snack

While some people prefer sugary sweets, my personal weakness is salty treats. During midday breaks, I always find myself staring at the snack rack,

debating between the barbecue and vinegar chips.

And if you’re a salt-lover like me, then you’ll fall in love with the recipe below! Not only does this perfectly satisfy your salty cravings, but it’s quick, easy, and healthy!

The only ingredients you’ll need for this snack are a few sweet potatoes and a handful of seasonings. You’ll most likely have all of them already available in your kitchen.

To make the most basic variation of the snack, follow the recipe below — but there’s plenty of room to be creative! Feel free to add in different ingredients and toppings to craft a snack that’s entirely your own!

Ingredients:

  • Olive oil
  • Garlic powder
  • Kosher salt
  • Sweet potatoes

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 °F.
  2. Cut up the sweet potatoes into French fry-like strips.
  3. Spread them evenly on a baking sheet.
  4. Drizzle olive oil on top and toss with your hands.
  5. Sprinkle garlic powder and salt on top.
  6. Put in the oven. After 10 minutes, flip the potatoes over with tongs.
  7. Cook for 10–15 more minutes.
  8. Poke with a fork to see if they’re cooked through. Then, plate and serve.
